Can I convert an image from a URL?
Yes, when the image is public and the remote host allows browser-side image loading with CORS. If the URL fails to load, download the file and upload it instead. Only use images you own or have permission to process.
Can JPG keep transparency?
No. JPG does not support transparency, so transparent pixels need a background color.
Is white background required?
It is not always required, but white is a practical default for many ecommerce listing images.
